Point of View

I decided to start my blog with the quote from a very passionate and inspiring man Tony Robbins as I truly believe that we all need passion that makes us feel alive. Something that adds a little extra meaning to our life, an activity that give the purpose of getting up every morning and gives you a sense of fulfilment.
You might have one, it could be your hobby, work, business but you may still looking for your own passion. Do not stop until you will chase one, I found mine, because it’s worth it.
You probably think why is she talking about passion on a website that mend to teach school staff, other professionals and parents about how to develop children communication, language, social skills, etc. through the Lego based Therapy and other positive, child centred and evidenced based interventions???
The truth is that MY PASSION of understanding and supporting special needs children leads and guides me through my day. I wake up and go to bed thinking about new, effective ways of helping children to overcome they problems so they could become successful and happy adults in the future. It is a true love of designing new resources and using them with children.
A great feeling of fulfilment when children improve and I can share their achievements with parents. Extreme sense of pride when they generalise these skills from a small group of children into the class environment.
A huge priceless moments when children ask me if they can be part of Lego group and when they give positive feedback.
“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you “. OPRAH WINFREY
“You can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus and the support”. SABRINA BRYAN
Within last two years I delivered Lego based Therapy to 185 children with a great success. I had my Lego groups from Monday to Friday. Some half-terms twice a day!!! That was only one part of my busy day as I delivered TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication Handicapped Children), The Discrete Trial Training, Talkabout etc. interventions on a daily basis. I loved every minute!!!
It is my passion that drives me through the knowledge, new researches, self-education, self-improvement, hard times, good times etc. It is my passion that gives me energy to work harder every day to find the solution that work for a child that I support. I am so grateful that I found one!!!
Thank you!!! It is like blessing 🙂
Let me know how you feel and if that also your case. If you still didn’t find your passion do NOT GIVE UP!
I am very curious if you think, like me, that when we passionate then we can overcome all obstacles in order to help our special needs children to achieve their best. Please share your thoughts with me 🙂
